Introduction to Power & Advanced Lifting - Holiday Camp
This camp will teach athletes various methods to improve their power in their sport. The camp will also give experienced athletes an opportunity to create their own program / have their current training program assessed (and altered if need be) as well as working with performance technology throughout the 3 days.
Open to those aged 16 and over and of relevance to sportspeople already training for their sport, the program has been designed by our expert team who will be on hand throughout, to ensure each athlete is supported, engaged and benefiting from the camp.
Registration is $250 per person (or $200 if booked before December 19th) and includes daily lunch and refreshments. Each day of the camp will run from 10am – 2pm and our goal is to significantly increase each athletes understanding of power and advanced lifting techniques, with the goal to enhance their own sporting performance.
Here is a brief overview of what we are planning to progress your child through:
Day 1 (Tuesday 21st) – Olympic Lifting
- Pull and High Pull Technique
- Power Snatch Technique
- Power Clean Technique
- Free time to practice variations & complexes
Day 2 (Wednesday 2nd) – Ballistic & Plyometrics
- Med Ball
- Jump Variations
- Bound Variations
- Blending
Day 3 (Thursday 23rd) – Methods of Increasing Power
- Mixed Method Training
- Speed-Strength / Strength-Speed
- Contrast sets
- Create your own workout
